Chelsea Want Tottenham’s Harry Kane And Will Use Romelu Lukaku To Sweeten Deal

Chelsea has set their eyes on Tottenham Hotspur English international Harry Kane and is ready to include Romelu Lukaku in a bid to seal the deal.

The Blues’ new manager Graham Potter is already planning the club’s future and the direction he wants to go with the London club, bolstering their striking position as one of his objectives. Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel often played without a natural number 9 while at the club despite bringing in Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan. He consistently played Kai Havertz in the striker position and could not integrate summer signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang into his team before he received his sack letter.

Now Sportscradle sources are reporting that Graham Potter and new Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly have marked Tottenham captain Harry Kane as the preferred target to fill their striker position and will look to bring England international to the club in the summer to end their striking woes and could reunite Antonio Conte with Romelu Lukaku to get the deal through the door.

Calciomercatoweb has reported that Chelsea is convinced adding Romelu Lukaku to their bid for Harry Kane will sweeten the deal for Tottenham and Antonio Conte, which would convince them to sell the star striker with the player’s current contract situation favouring them.

Harry Kane’s contract with Tottenham expires in 2024. Though the club is working to extend their captain’s contract, there is no guarantee that an agreement will be reached as Harry Kane has previously expressed interest in leaving the club.
